Ketan Bubuk

Ketan bubuk is steamed glutinous rice served in grated coconut and soybean powder. It is a comfort food from East Java that is usually served in the evening with a cup of hot and dark coffee.

Soybean powder recipe:

1. Toast 1 cup of prewashed soybean, 2 cm of sand ginger, and 1 kefir lime leaf for 15 minutes or until the soybeans turn brown.

2. Blend them with 1/2 cup of icing sugar (you can add more later) and 1/2 tsp of salt.

3. Sieve the soybean powder. It is now ready to use.
