Thai Pad Kra Pao
Pad Kra Pao is Rex´s favorite Thai dish. I am not surprised. When I visited Bangkok, I was fascinated by the taste of this spicy stir fried minced meat. The generous basil in the stir fry makes it stand out.
Recipe:
1. Saute 1 tbs of minced garlic and 1/2 tbs of minced birdseye chili in 2 tbs of oil.
2. Add 1 cup of minced meat (beef, pork, or chicken) and saute until the meat turns brown.
3. Add 1 tbs of soy sauce, 1 tbs of fish sauce, 1 tbs of sugar, 1/2 tbs of sweet soy sauce, 1/2 tbs of oyster sauce to the stir fry.
4. When they are incorporated, add 1- cup of basil. (I used lemon basil that grew in my garden)
How easy is that?
