Pecel

Pecel is a Javanese vegetarian salad served in peanut sauce. When I was little, I remember, it was a lot of work to make the pecel sauce. It was because the fried peanut and other ingredients had to be crushed into paste manually. With the help of an electric hand blender, I could save a lot of work and time to make pecel.

Pecel sauce recipe: 1 cup of fried peanut, 2 chilis, 2 tbs of coconut sugar (or table sugar), 1/2-3/4 tsp of salt, 1 cup of drinking water, 3 lime leaves, 2 cm of sand ginger, and 1 tsp of tamarind. Blend everything together with electric blender and use it as a salad dressing.
