Lado Hejo

Lado Hejo is a West Sumatran salsa served with rice, steamed cassava leaves, andmeat or chicken curry. It is not very spicy but it is appetizing. You can find lado hejo in any Padang restaurants.

How to make ladoo hejo:

1. Wash and boil 10 jalapenos, 8 small unripe tomatoes, 8 cloves of shallot, and 4 cloves of garlic.

2. Throw the excess water and blend.

3. Saute the lada hejo with 4 tbs of oil.

4. Add 1 tsp of salt and a pinch of sugar.
