My First Kale
I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about growing kale in a hot low land area like where I live. Anyway since I got the kale seeds from a friend so I had to try to plant them. I was very happy when the kale sprouts appeared.
Several kale seedlings strived the heat of Tangerang. They grew really fast.
In no time at all the tiny seedlings turned into giant leafy kales.
Kale is not commonly grown in Indonesia. It is only available in high end supermarkets and it is highly overpriced (perhaps because it is imported). It´s great to have kale just a few steps away from my garden.
