Giant Amaranth

Amaranth is one of the most eaten vegetables in Indonesia. It is easy to grow and can be harvested 3 weeks after it is planted.

Amaranth is also very cheap and widely available all over Indonesia. Why do I bother to grow amaranth in my garden then? Well, most amaranths sold in markets are undernourished. The leaves are small, thin, and unappetizing.

With the help of earthworms, rabbitpee, and compost, the amaranths in my garden grow enormously.
