Sentiling

Sentiling is another Javanese dessert made of cassava. It is sweet and chewy. The vanilla flavor goes well with the cassava starchiness.

Recipe:
1. skin and clean 2 cups of cassava and cut them into small pieces
2. blend it with 1/2 tbs of vanilla, a drop of food coloring, a pinch of salt, and 3-4 tbs of sugar
3. steam it for 25 minutes
4. stir the dough thoroughly
5. pinch around 1 tbs of the dough and roll it on fresh shredded coconut
6. shape them into balls of sentiling
